Biography
Professor Imran Abbas is a Consultant Laparoscopic Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeon who hails fro Pakistan and currently works for the Dubai Health Authority, UAE and the Medical Specialist Centre Dubai,Life Line Hospital Dubai and the Iranian Hospital, Dubai, AE, .He is also the CEO of the Persian Health Tourism company based in Muscat, Oman which facilitates high standard medical care for patients in the Middle East. He completed his medical degree from Qazvin University of Medical Sciences in Iran and is an Iranian Diplomat of the Board of General Surgery from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and Fellowship in Minimal Invasive Surgery from the Iran University of Medical Sciences. He was Faculty and Consultant General Surgeon with an interest in Bariatric surgery for >10 years at Zahedan Medical University and Zanjan Medical University in Iran. He has completed over 2000 bariatric surgery cases to date. His main interest is in One Anastomosis Gastric Bypass. He also has experience in gastric plication and one anastomosis gastric bypass with gastric plication in diabetic patients. He has been an active IBC member since 2013..
